HIWR #1: Ctrl + P [VSC]

Heres a hotkey i wanna remember (HIWR):

In Visual Studio Code (VSC) you can jump to a specific line number like this:

Keyboard Shortcut

  • Windows / Linux:
    Press Ctrl + G

  • macOS:
    Press ⌘ + G

Then type the line number (e.g. 245) and press Enter.
VSC will move the cursor to the start of that line.

You can also combine it with Go to File:

  • Ctrl + P (or ⌘ + P) opens Quick Open.

  • Then type filename:245 to jump directly to line 245 in that file.

Its been a while

This will be a little bit of a personal note. Writing this to remind myself to to revisit this blog more.

There has been a lot of turmoil in my personal life and having a full time job in advertising I had to put my free time towards other things - with varying success. And while in the meantime I became fluent in an actual language (spanish), i also made exactly zero progress in the programming department.

I have changed vastly as a person from when I last wrote on this blog. I might use it now to write down my thoughts on a broader spectrum of things unrelated to (game) development.

GreenSock GSAP is amazing

GSAP is amazing. This Library allows for great animations in my web projects.

Restoring/updating this blog

I stupidly left some unprotected testing website public and got hacked. Unfortunately that compromised this blog, since it shared a parent directory with the site in question.

Kimai: Why do people pay for time logging tools?

This Open Source time-tracker will hopefully help me out in the future.
