Kimai: Why do people pay for time logging tools?

This free Open Source time-tracker will hopefully help me out in the future.
It was another chance to get into the routine of launching projects via SSH and the composer.
It took me about 90 minutes (including the bare bones configuration after installing), 30 of which was finding a stupid mistake i did, as i didnt wait for the sftp to transfer. The lesson learned from this mistake is that cloning a git project via the terminal is way faster then cloning it within VSC and then syncing it via SFTP (oviously).
I can still get a local copy though VSC afterwards.
